Twelve personnel of Pakistan's security forces were killed and ten others injured in an ambush on a military convoy in South Waziristan tribal agency on Sunday, local media reported.

Ten terrorists were also killed in exchange of firing, said the local News Network International quoting Inter Services Public Relations source.

The injured army personnel were shifted to nearby hospitals, the report said.
