China will work with Pakistan to realize the consistent, sound and stable development of the strategic cooperative partnership, Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping said Thursday.
Xi hailed the friendship and cooperation between the two states since diplomatic ties were established in 1951.
"Despite all the changes on the international arena and in our domestic situations, the cooperation between China and Pakistan has remained unchanged and always moved forward," Xi told Ahmed Mukhtar, Defense Minister of Pakistan, who is on a five-day visit to China.
He said the China-Pakistan relations were a successful model of China's foreign policy and of the harmonious co-existence between countries with different social systems.
Mukhtar pledged to promote the friendship between the two armies and push forward cooperation between the two countries.
