Adjust font size:

China and Vietnam on Tuesday pledged to work more closely on human resources and administration.

The message came out of the meeting between Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang and Vietnamese Internal Affairs Minister Tran Van Tuan.

During their meeting at the Zhongnanhai leaders' compound in downtown Beijing, Zhang briefed Tran on China's employment and social security measures to deal with the global economic downturn.

Zhang hailed China-Vietnam ties and recognized the progress in bilateral cooperation.

"As China-Vietnam cooperation on human resources and administration constitute a crucial part of bilateral ties, we should work more closely and achieve substantive results," Zhang said.

Tran echoed Zhang's views, pledging to work for more exchange and cooperation in this regard.
