A group of 20 young Chinese volunteers arrived on Sunday afternoon at the Togolese capital, Lome, where they will work for one year in the domains of teaching, health, telecommunication and sports.
Among these 20 young Chinese volunteers, 17 will remain in Lome and three will leave for Kara, which is situated 420 km north of Lome.
Another group of 20 young Chinese volunteers arrived at Cotonou in Benin on Aug. 16.
During the Beijing Summit on the Forum of Sino-African cooperation held in 2006, the Chinese government decided to send in three years 300 young volunteers in the African countries to offer benevolent services in the domains of health, agriculture, sports, culture, arts and the teaching of the Chinese language.
