Top Chinese legislator Wu Bangguo will visit Cuba, the Bahamas and the United States from Aug. 31 to Sept. 12, the National People's Congress (NPC) said on Tuesday.
Wu will be the guest of Ricardo Alarcon de Quesada, president of the National Assembly of People's Power in Cuba. In the Bahamas, he will be hosted by its government; Lynn Holowesko, president of its Senate; and Alvin Smith, speaker of the House.
Wu, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, has been invited to the United States by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi.
