Choummaly Saygnasone, secretary general of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, started his visit to China on Sunday after arriving in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province.

Choummaly will pay his working visit to China from Sept. 6 to 13 as a guest of Chinese President Hu Jintao, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
