On December 11, 2007, the Rep office of the New York Stock Exchange in Beijing held the opening ceremony at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. Vice-Premier of China, Ms. Wu Yi, US Secretary, Mr. Paulson, Deputy Mayor of Beijing, Ji Lin, Mayor of New York, Mr. Bloomburg cut the ribbon together at the ceremony. It is the first foreign stock exchange that was allowed to set up a rep office in China.
