China's senior anti-graft official He Yong met in Beijing on Monday with representatives of an international anti-corruption workshop, pledging to strengthen cooperation on discipline and supervision between Asian and African countries.
He, a member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China(CPC) Central Committee and CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection deputy head, said that the CPC and Chinese government attached great importance to preventing corruption and achieved remarkable results.
The Chinese government always emphasizes international cooperation to combat corruption and effectively implements the UN Convention against Corruption, he said.
"We hope to cooperate with anti-graft units of Asian and African countries and learn from each other," he added.
The workshop, which is being held by the National Bureau of Corruption Prevention from November 17 to December 6, has 18 participants from nine nations: Botswana, Laos, Mauritius, Mongolia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Tanzania, Uganda and Vietnam.
