NATO Summit to be attended by 24 presidents, 26 prime ministers

As many as 24 presidents, 26 prime ministers and 86 ministers will attend the NATO Summit in Bucharest this April, Victor Micula, Romania's State Secretary with the Foreign Ministry, announced on Monday.

According to him, at the high-level meeting of the Alliance are 3,000 delegates and 3,500 journalists, with the Summit following to unfold on four levels of the Parliament Palace.

Over 200 connection officers and 150 volunteers have already been prepared to assist the journalists in the Media Center, young people who come from the communication and political science faculties of Bucharest.

Also, 16 press conference rooms with simultaneous translation, two TV studios and two radio studios, as well as banking facilities have been prepared.

The NATO Summit is to take place in Bucharest on April 2-4, with the enlargement, operations in Afghanistan and Kosovo as main topics.
