More than 30 Chinese and German representatives from political,
economic and social circles gathered at the second meeting of the
China-Germany Dialogue Forum on Monday to discuss key issues on
promoting bilateral cooperation.
During the two-day meeting, the representatives will exchange
views on energy cooperation and the creation of an innovative
society.
Xu Kuangdi, vice chairman of the National Committee of the
Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said at the
opening ceremony that both nations are eager to develop bilateral
ties and to learn from each other.
Professor Heinrich Von Pierer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board
of Siemens AG, said he also believed the meeting would further the
friendship between the two countries.
The China-Germany Dialogue Forum, a non-governmental forum that
was first established in Berlin in 2005, aims to explore friendly
bilateral cooperation in various fields and to make relevant
suggestions to the two governments.
