Adjust font size:

The governments of China and South Korea on Tuesday jointly unveiled the agenda for activities celebrating bilateral exchanges in 2007.

Next year marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and South Korea and has been highlighted as the China-South Korea Exchange Year.

According to the Foreign Ministry, activities covering politics, culture, education, sports, science and technology will be held.

The key events will include a launch in Seoul at the beginning of 2007, a celebration of the anniversary of diplomatic ties on August 24, and a closing ceremony in Beijing near the year-end.

Film stars Chen Kun and Sun Li from China and actor An Chil-hyun and actress Jang Na-ra from South Korea have been appointed "goodwill ambassadors" for the events. The two governments also published a slogan with the theme of conducting friendly exchanges and creating a promising future and a logo featuring a design of auspicious clouds in traditional Chinese and South Korean styles.

Information on the events will be available on www.xinhuanet.com from January 2007. South Korea will also launch an official website.
