China demands Pakistan rescue missing engineers
Adjust font size:

China on Tuesday urged Pakistan to rescue two Chinese engineers who went missing last week and ensure their security.

"We have demanded Pakistan go all out to rescuing the two missing engineers and ensure their safety," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu told a regular briefing.

The two employees of Zhongxing Telecommunication Equipment Company (ZTE) were found to be missing on Friday when they, along with their local driver and a security guard, went to check on equipment in the Lower Dir district of the Northwest Frontier Province.

Jiang said the government attached great importance to the incident and relevant departments were involved in further checking the issue.
