Beijing has received more support from people and organizations of other countries in the run-up to the 2008 Olympic Games in August in the Chinese capital city.
In China's northern neighboring country Mongolia, Jigjee Sereejav, press officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed confidence that Beijing Olympic Games would be a success.
This will be the best opportunity for Mongolia's athletes to win the first Olympic gold medal, the official said on Monday.
The editor of "Mongolia Messenger" newspaper, Dashdorj Bolor, voiced support for the Olympic torch relay, saying the torch relay would promote the Olympic spirit in the world.
Bai Shuangzhan, chairman of the Overseas Chinese Association in Mongolia, said the Beijing Olympic Games will be a grand event not only for China, but also for the rest of the world. He condemned the sabotage activities against the Games and the torch relay.
Sonia Chererjian, 53, a Lebanese architect, told Xinhua on Friday that she denounced "Tibet independence" activists for blocking the Olympic torch relay.
She was also critical of false reports by western media on the March 14 riots in Lhasa, capital of China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
"They do not tell the truth in TVs and newspapers," she said, in reference to the riots involving beating, smashing, looting and
arson in Lhasa, which claimed the lives of 18 civilians and one police officer.
Sonia, who has visited China four times, expressed hope that one day "I can arrive in Lhasa by the train of Qinghai-Tibet railway" for sightseeing.
Abdel Azim Wazir, governor of Egypt's Cairo province, told Xinhua on Thursday that he is very glad that the Olympic Games will be held in China, a country with great ancient civilization. He believes that the Beijing Olympics will be a complete success.
Wazir condemned the sabotage activities against the torch relay, saying that sports is an event of peace aimed to bring peace to all countries in the world.
The Cameroon-China Friendship Group in the Cameroonian parliament expressed "firm" belief that China will successfully hold the Olympic Games, hoping that athletes of Cameroon and China will do an excellent job.
The Olympic Games is a grand sports gathering and the people of Cameroon eagerly look forward to the opening of the Beijing Olympics, members of the group said when they met with Chinese Ambassador to Cameroon Huang Changqing on Wednesday.
On the same day, the Uruguayan Foreign Ministry issued a communique reiterating the country's support for the Beijing Olympic Games.
The Olympics is the most important sports event in the world and it will go beyond the borders and promote the spirit of friendship of mankind, the communique said.
