Israeli parliament's web site attacked by hackers
Adjust font size:

The official web site of Israel's Knesset (parliament) was hacked on Saturday, with profiles of several legislators being changed and assaulted by hackers, local media said.

The words "soon to be jailed" and "fraud" were added to the profiles of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and former finance minister Avraham Hirchson, according to Jerusalem Post.

The Knesset Guard filed a formal complaint with police after some Knesset members discovered the changes over the weekend and had the web sites taken down.

Olmert, who was questioned twice by police a week ago, is facing three investigations over fraud, corruption and bribery. For his part, Hirchson was charged on Tuesday for involving in the embezzlement of millions of shekels.
