The statement also said that indicators showed that certain PKK terrorist leaders were among the groups in the operation areas.
Meanwhile, five Turkish soldiers and three village guards were also killed in the operation, added the statement.
Since last Thursday, the Turkish maneuver units so far destroyed 47 caves, 187 shelters and hideouts, 29 light gun positions, 38 anti aircraft positions and 11 transportation facilities belonging to the terrorist organization.
It also said that air units hit a total of 225 targets, destroying 13 antiaircraft positions, 67 caves, 87 shelters, 5 training facilities, 21 logistics facilities and 7 facilities along with 11 combat positions since the beginning of operation.
The PKK, listed by the United States and Turkey as a terrorist group, took up arms against Turkey in 1984 with the aim of creating an ethnic homeland in the southeast of the country. More than 30,000 people have been killed in the over-two-decade conflict.
