Five persons were injured in an accidental explosion in central Mumbai's Sion station in India on Saturday afternoon, according to local media.

It happened when a gas bottle carried by one of the passengers exploded inside the train standing on the platform, the Press Trust of India said, adding that the nature of the gas in the bottle was not known.

There was a similar explosion at a suburb station in Mumbai a few weeks' ago in which two persons were injured, it added.
