Adjust font size:

Pakistan's security forces on Saturday killed 25 more militants in northwestern Pakistan's Bajaur tribal region, according to local media.

Three soldiers were also killed in Saturday's military operation, local Dawn News TV channel quoted military sources as saying.

The Pakistan army launched the military operation on Aug. 6 in the troubled Bajaur agency, and over 1,000 militants were killed during the operation. Five senior Taliban and Al-Qaeda commanders, four of whom are foreigners, were also among the dead.

The 50-day military offensive had displaced about 300,000 localpeople from the one-million population tribal agency.

Pakistan's army commander said it would take two more months tobring stability to the region.
