An Arab man was shot by police after he stabbed one or two Jews in Jerusalem on Thursday.
Israeli daily Ha'aretz quoted police and Magen David Adom rescue service as saying that the attacker wounded two people before he was shot in the Gilo neighborhood, an area near the West Bank city of Bethlehem.
A police spokesman was cited as saying that the Arab was wounded, while the rescue service said he was killed.
Meanwhile, local news service Ynet reported that the young Arab man stabbed an Israeli and attempted to flee before a police officer fired at him and injured him.
Large police forces were dispatched to the area.
