A Ukrainian literature magazine on Wednesday published the first Ukrainian-language Chinese literature special in the country.
Addressing the launching ceremony, Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Timofey Cohan said the publication is "a new bridge" for cultural exchanges between Ukraine and China and "a new window" for Ukrainians to better understand China.
"Ukraine is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in various cultural fields and expects to make the 'Ukrainian Culture Day' in China this year a success," said Cohan.
Chinese Ambassador Zhou Li thanked the editors, translators and others who worked on the new publication, saying China is willing to strengthen links with the Ukrainian cultural circles and work together to promote bilateral cultural exchanges.
The China literature special was translated and published by the World Literature magazine, one of the earliest literature magazines in Ukraine.
