A selected collection of ancient Chinese paintings and calligraphy works are being displayed at the Hall of Martial Valor (Wuyingdian) at the Palace Museum in Beijing.

Altogether 64 pieces from the Jin (265-420) to Qing (1644-1911) dynasties are on display, offering viewers a rare chance to see such a large collection in one place.
Highlights include The Maids of Honour Waving Fans by Tang Dynasty (618-907) painter Zhou Fang, famous for his paintings of court women.
A very rare Song Dynasty (960-1279) copy of the famous Biography of Women by painter and calligrapher Gu Kaizhi from the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420) is also on display.
The exhibition will run through June 15.
