Now that the Shanghai World Expo is over, those who didn't get a chance to visit may feel a bit regretful, but we've got some good news. The online version of the Expo will remain open, so you won't miss it this time.
The Expo online is a virtual version of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. With the help of 3D technologies, you can explore the pavilions and parks in much the same way you would in the real one. The online Expo even has features the real Expo did not, like a virtual community called "future city." There, visitors can take on roles and receive commissions.
Wang Liping, General Manager, Expo Network Info. Service Co., said, "Except for some minor changes, we will retain most of the the online Expo's functions, such as online parks and pavilions."
Shanghai Expo Online has been accessible since May 1st and includes all the exhibitors of the Expo. As of the end of October, over 80 million people had visited the Online Expo. To visit the site yourself, just type in www.expo.cn and check it out.
