The language of Ayapaneco is at risk of extinction, but the last two people fluent in the language refuse to talk to each other, the Guardian reports.

Manuel Segovia, 75, and Isidro Velazquez, 69, live 500 meters apart in the village of Ayapa in the tropical lowlands of the southern state of Tabasco in Mexico. It is not clear whether there is a long-buried argument behind their mutual avoidance, but people who know them say they have never really enjoyed each other's company.

南美一语言仅两人会说

       据英国《卫报》报道，南美洲一种名叫Ayapaneco的语言目前正面临灭亡的下场。世上会说这种语言的只剩下两个人，但他们却拒绝同彼此说话。

       75岁的马努埃尔·塞戈维亚和69岁的伊西德罗·维拉斯奎斯都住在墨西哥塔巴斯科州热带低洼地区的阿雅帕村庄里，两家仅相隔500米。认识马努埃尔和伊西德罗的人们都能证实两人关系确实很僵，但究竟有什么样的深仇大恨却无人知晓。

       目前全世界共有6000种语言，其中大约一半的语言将活不过下个世纪。
