According to Yi Ganjun, president of Guangdong Fruit Industry Association, most imported fruits sold in China are really domestic produce, Jinyang News Express reports. 金羊网新快报消息,广东省水果行业协会会长易干军透露,目前国内市面上销售的所谓“洋水果”绝大部分都是国货。
Yi said only mangosteen, durian, rambutan and New Zealand kiwi are imported fruits, while other fruits such as American Sunkist-branded fruits and "American Red Delicious" apples are domestic products that vendors label with foreign stickers. 易干军表示,以进口为主的水果只有几种,如山竹、榴莲、红毛丹及新西兰金奇果,其余绝大部分所谓“洋水果”,其实都是国货,如“美国新奇士”及部分“美国蛇果”等,而这些洋标签都是商贩自己贴上去的。
The labels can be purchased online or at wholesale markets for 0.03 yuan each. 洋标签在网上及批发市场上均可买到,300元一万个。

Fruits with foreign labels are then sold at prices several times higher than domestic products. For example, a Hainan mango costs 15 yuan in Guangzhou, but with an "Australia mango" sticker on it, the price soared to between 38 yuan and 48 yuan.

贴有洋标签的水果,叫价比没贴牌的同种水果要贵上几倍,比如一个海南四季芒,运到广州后成本才15元一个,但被贴上“澳芒”洋标签后,就会卖到38元-48元一个。
