Virtuoso Pianist Lang Lang has been telling CCTV of the childhood pressures he endured before becoming a worldwide star. The 28 year-old classical pianist is in London for a record breaking concert with 100 children and 50 Steinway pianos. He joined our London Correspondent Richard Bestic to share memories of his childhood and his happiness at inspiring a new generation.
Lang Lang was in playful mood for this unprecedented event.
100 children drawn from the length and breadth of Britain learning from the Master at London's Royal Festival Hall.
Children as young as six, some so little they could hardly see over the top of the piano.
Others clearly enjoying their special day out in the UK capital.
But all together they were a team under Lang Lang's leadership playing unique arrangements that had to be specially crafted for such a huge collection of keyboards.
Even Lang Lang wanted a personal memory of this extraordinary display, recording it all on his mobile phone.

When I caught up with Lang Lang later, he spoke of his joy working on this unique project.
But as much as Lang Lang is a beacon to the young... he also confided to me his memories of when he was nine and his father told him to kill himself...
With the children in the hall, though the focus was all on delivering their very best.
Lang Lang's job that of inspiration.
