People in Beijing spend 38 minutes on average to get to work under normal traffic conditions, the longest among 50 mainland cities, according to a report released by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) last week, Xinhua reports. Shanghai and Guangzhou ranked second, both with 36 minutes of commuting time on average. Typical commuting time in Beijing taking into account traffic congestion was 52 minutes. |
