Young Vietnamese Nguyen Thi Phuong looked like an old lady in months and she claimed it may be due to her extreme allergy to seafood, the Daily Mail reported.

Nguyen, 26, said she developed a puffy face and sagging skin in 2008 but was too poor to seek treatment.

Earlier this month, doctors said they would examine her free of charge.

Doctors say it may have been the long-term use of traditional medicines that caused the condition as they are often spiked with corticoids. These steroids speed up the effects of the remedies but could also have triggered the rare skin disease mastocytosis.

年轻女子数月变老太

       据英国《每日邮报》报道，一位年轻的越南女子居然在数月内变成了老太太的模样！该女子声称，这一切可能是因为自己对海鲜极度过敏所造成的。

       现年26岁的阮莳芳告诉《每日邮报》，2008年开始，她的脸部开始肿胀，皮肤也日渐松弛，但由于家庭贫困一直没有治疗。

       本月早些时候，医生表示可以为她免费检查。

       他们认为，阮莳芳很快变老，可能是长期服用传统药物所致，因为那些药物中含有肾上腺皮质类脂醇。这种物质虽然可以提高药效，但却能引发肥大细胞增多症等罕见皮肤疾病。
