Over 400 Russian visitors enjoyed Chinese kungfu and
traditional Chinese medical therapy in Boao, southern China's Hainan Province on Saturday.
Surrounded by picturesque scenery on Dongyu Island of Boao, the
Russian visitors learned Taiji, or Tai Chi, from a
Chinese kungfu master and experienced the physical therapies
of traditional Chinese medicine.
Local newspaper Hainan Daily reports the Russian
visitors came to Boao, home of the Boao Forum for Asia, for the
program "Comedy Club" produced by Russian National Television.
The Russian program is scheduled to screen in Boao for ten days,
from November 2 to 12. It features tourism items including hotels,
beaches, hot springs and golf-courses and Chinese elements like
physical therapies, kungfu, calligraphy, mah-jong and Chinese
characters.
As a top-rated program in Russia and the Commonwealth of
Independent States, "Comedy Club" introduces world famous tourist
destinations to Russian people every year. The program on Boao will
be produced as ten episodes and will be broadcast for half a
year.
