A total of 110 sculptures designed for the Beijing Olympic Games
wound up their nine-day trip to Macao, attracting many
visitors.
The number of 110 was chosen as an allusion to the 110 years of
existence of the modern Olympics.
The exhibits were selected from up to 300 pieces/sets of works
made of bronze, iron, aluminum as well as stainless steel, which
embody the Olympic spirit, physical culture, Olympics in China as
well as Olympic heroes and champions.
The sculptures have toured 13 Chinese cities since last June and
are expected to be shown abroad, London, host city of the 2012
Olympic Games, Beijing the next destination, the organizers
said.
