Beijing's top legislature has planned to adopt a During-Games
law to ensure the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and Paralympics Games
run smoothly, Beijing Times reports Thursday.
"This temporary law will be due to take effect just during
Games", Officer Zhang Yin with legal system department of Beijing
local People's Congress said, "It has covered almost each side of
Olympic Games concerning transportation, environment protection,
and security affairs."
"When the Games-law taking shape relies on when it will be
adopted by the lawmakers," Zhang explained, "it is still undecided
yet."
Prior to granting a law or regulation draft, there should be an
online salutation, as a Beijing legislature's convention, of public
opinions to decide whether to hold a hearing regarding to this
draft.
"We will held a hearing only if citizens have keen interest on
this law." he added.
