Australia's Sky Kim emerged the victor in the men's individual finals of the 2007 International Archery Tournament today. Sky Kim beat Malaysia's Chu Sian Cheng in the extra to win the title. After the post-final press conference he said that he was very happy to win the event, which came as a surprise.
Sky Kim, a native Korean who moved to Australia with his family when he was 23. As Korea has the same weather with China during this time of the year, so he said he soon got used to the heat in Beijing, and that was perhaps one of the reasons he won.
When asked whether he was nervous in the competition, he said yes. "The spectators here in this field were quite close to the archers, which would more or less bring pressure on them," he said. "I would become nervous myself, and I will tell my coach about it and spend more time on such mental training. Hope I will achieve the same good results at next year's Olympic Games."
