In the last day's competitions of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 Junior World Wrestling Championships today, Russian Bakhtiyar Akhmedov beat Iranian Azarshakib to win the men's 120kg freestyle gold.
The first period witnessed a snail-paced seesaw between the two. Akhmedov took the advantage of the coin tossing to win the period.
In the second period Akhmedov gained a critical point and showed his strength on defense in the end to claim the gold.
China's Deng Zhiwei, who did well in this morning's match, took on Nikuradze of Georgia in the bronze-medal match. In the first period Deng took the initiative to gain three points with a beautiful salto. Nikuradze got three in the second to tie the score. In the decisive third period, Deng managed to outdo his opponent to claiming the medal.
The other bronze went to Ali Gurbuz of Turkey.
