After dinner the NOC people have called us for another meeting. This was very unnecessary for them to do because during the entire meeting, the only thing they wanted us to know were the phone numbers of the NOC workers, for example, who should we contact at certain times. Since everyone was exhausted from the day of work, we all wanted to take a shower and go to bed because the next day we had to wake up at around 6 o'clock. There were no rooms for us to sit or even be able to hear any of the NOC people yelling from their lungs. I’m sure they didn't want to hustle us all here but since there weren't any better ideas, this was the only choice for them.
Poor NOC workers, they didn't even have space to stand; therefore, the table was the only choice. What bothered me the entire time was that a lot of students came "here only for fun and not for work" and I'm basically quoting from one of the volunteers. I understand that you want to have fun when you are doing this job, but I don't think this is the right attitude to be bringing to this major International event. Yes, I know that the meetings sometimes could be boring and should be organized better, but with that goal in mind is not correct and if that still remains in that person's head, then NOC should choose another more qualified candidate to do this job.
