Cyprus Tennis Federation announced on Thursday that Marcos Baghdatis will miss Beijing Games due to wrist injury.

The 2006 Australian Open finalist, now ranked 31st in the world, was considered one of Cyprus' best hopes for a first ever medal at the Olympics.

The country is sending a 17-member delegation to Beijing.
