The injured weightlifter Janos Baranyai need at least one week to recover from an arm dislocation, said the doctor on duty at the Olympics in Beijing on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old Hungarian failed to lift 145kg in his second attmept before he fell on the floor in the competition of Group B in the men's 77kg category.

Baranyai, eighth-place winner at the European Championships in 2008, was sent to the China-Japan Friendship Hospital immediately, which is among the 24 hospitals as designated medical service providers for the Beijing Games.

"I've got the information from the hospital that his injury was not very serious as it looked. His right arm was dislocated and no other injuries. Now, he has been diaplasised," the doctor on duty Marta Victoria Barroga told Xinhua.

"He need at least one week to recover, and four weeks at most," she added.
