Gymnastics chief: Preparing for tough competition in Olympics
Adjust font size:

The Chinese team will be fully prepared for tough competition during the Olympic Games, the top Chinese gymnastics official said on Thursday.

Gao Jian, director of the Chinese gymnastics administrative center, declined to comment on a reporter's question whether China will have a clean-sweep of all the nine gymnastics gold medals in the Olympics.

"We have made steady progress in international competitions, but we should never become complacent and arrogant," he said at the 2008 FIG World Cup in Tianjin.
