The first group of the Venezuelan delegation will travel Friday to the Olympic Games, which will begin on Aug. 8, the Venezuelan Olympic Committee (COV) announced Thursday.

COV president Eduardo Alvarez said that the mission of the group is to get the logistics ready for the Venezuelan Olympic delegation.

A total of 108 athletes will represent Venezuela in the Olympic Games, and they will receive 1,395 U.S. dollars per month till December and other 2,326 dollars bonus, sports minister Victoria Mata said.
