Korean Olympic Committee (KOC) President Lee Yun-taek said Thursday that South Korea is satisfied with the preparation of the Beijing Olympics and expects the Games to promote Asian culture and tradition.

"Beijing is well prepared for the Olympics. Everything is satisfying," said Lee.

"The South Korean delegation, set to leave for Beijing on Friday, will fight to win at least 10 gold medals in Beijing," the official said.

He highly praised the preparation by Chinese people for the upcoming Olympics.

"I express my respect to the Chinese people as they have united to conquer so many difficulties and disasters during the past several months. With such a spirit, I'm sure that the Chinese people will host the most successful event in history," said Lee.

The Chinese athletes have prepared for the Olympics for a long time and they would win more medals in Beijing than ever before, he added.
