The Olympic torch made its way through Guangzhou on Wednesday. This is the flame's second provincial leg on the Chinese mainland, after its tour of Hainan Island.

208 torchbearers covered the 43-kilometer route. The relay started in Guangzhou International Convention Center at 8 am, and then passed Hill Top Park, Yuntai Garden, Guangzhou Arts Museum, the Sun Yat-sen Museum, the Chen Ancestral Temple, Beijing Road, Haiyin Park, Consulate District Square. It ended at the Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Complex, where the final torchbearer, world fencing champion Dong Zhaozhi, lit the cauldron. This is the second time Guangzhou has hosted a torch relay for an international sports event.
The flame now leaves for Shenzhen, also in Guangdong province on Wednesday.
