Lindy Hou of Australia and Aileen McGlynn of Great Britain meet in the final of the Women's Individual Pursuit (B&VI 1-3) on Tuesday afternoon with Hou eager to avenge her defeat by McGlynn in the class time trial contested last Sunday.
Hou is the favorite after going two seconds quicker than McGlynn in the heats, but the British rider, who set a new world record on her way to taking the time trial gold, is not to be underestimated. Hou had to settle for bronze in that event.
The Individual Pursuit bronze will be contested by current world record holder Karissa Whitsell of the United States and Jayne Parsons of New Zealand, with Whitsell the clear favorite, having gone the distance in the heats a full five seconds faster than her opponent.
