Barabara Buchan of the United States and Natalie Simanowski of Germany both set world records in their respective classes, CP3 and LC3, to reach the gold medal final of the Women's Individual Pursuit (LC3-4/CP3) on Wednesday, September 10.
Simanowski is the fastest on the track but with the times adjusted with respect their disability levels, Buchan may have the edge.
The bronze medal run-off will be between Paula Tesoriero of New Zealand, winner of the Women's 500m Time Trial (LC3-4/CP3), and Jayme Paris of Australia with the New Zealand rider starting as favorite having one two seconds faster in the heats.
