With the British on such strong form it's difficult to see any other contenders for the Men's Sprint (BV&I 1-3) and the Team Sprint (LC1-4/CP3-4) to be held in Laoshan Velodrome on Wednesday afternoon.
There seems little competition for Anthony Kappes of Great Britain in the Individual Sprint (B&VI 1-3) or for a British team bursting at the seams with gold medalists and world record holders in the Team Sprint (LC1-4/CP3-4).
The rest of the world might get a better chance in the Women's events in which the only British woman represented is Sarah Storey in the Individual Pursuit (LC1-2/CP4). Storey arrives fresh from her success over the distance at the Paralympic World Cup held earlier this year in Manchester, and will be keen to add Paralympic gold to her trophy list.
She may not have things all her own way though as many of the big names of the event weren't in Manchester. She can expect tough competition from China's Zhou Jufang, holder of the event crown from Athens, from her team mate Ye Yaping, from Roxy Burns (South Africa) and from the runaway winner of the 500m Time Trial (LC1-2/CP4), Jennifer Schuble (United States).
In the Women's Individual Pursuit (LC3-4/CP3), Paula Tesoriero of New Zealand will be keen to demonstrate she's as good over the 3km distance as she was over the 500m Time Trial course which she won in a world record time. German Natalie Simanowski and Australian Jayme Paris will be equally keen to prove she isn't. The pair also set world records in their classes but found themselves second and third to Tesoriero.
