Lindsey Carmichael of the United States claimed the bronze medal by edging out her Polish opponent Malgorzata Olejnik, 105-101.

Women's Individual Recurve - W1/W2

Paralympic debutant Gizem Girismen of Turkey edged out China's Fu Hongzhi, 91-85, to win Turkey's first ever Paralympic gold medal.

Fu took home the silver medal. China's Xiao Yanhong beat Nakanishi Aya of Japan, 98-84, to claim the bronze medal.

Women's Team Recurve - Open

China seem to have left the best for last, winning the gold medal and breaking the world record in the Women's Team Recurve - Open category.

The Chinese archers out distanced the Republic of Korea from the start, hitting the bull's eye on five occasions (getting ten points each). China won the encounter 205-177. The ROK team will take home the silver medal.

Czech Republic won the bronze medal, edging out Poland by a two point margin, 184-182.
