The Three Gorges Reservoir had lowered its water level to 150.40 meters by 8:00 a.m. Sunday from the climax of 171.43 meters during last year's probationary water storage. The water level is to be further lowered to 145 meters by June 10 in a preemptive measure for flood prevention.
