An excavator works on Lingkou Reservoir to discharge floods in Laibin City, southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on June 8, 2010. More than 2,500 people are being evacuated from three villages after a reservoir embankment subsided Tuesday in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said local government officials Tuesday. A pit, two meters in diameter and a meter deep, was found at 9:20 a.m. in the embankment of Lingkou Reservoir, which holds 580,000 cubic meters of water, in Xingbin District of Laibin City.
