An armed policeman carries two kids to trudge towards the safety belt in a preemptive rescue operation against heavy rainfall, at Jintan Town, Ji'an City, east China's Jiangxi Province, June 20, 2010. Grievous flood and waterlog ravage in central and northern Jiangxi after strong downpours and torrential rain that continuously pound the areas, leaving people in many places beleaguered and isolated by surging torrents. Armed policemen are swiftly mobilized to rescue the people besieged by flood. So far, heavy rain in south China has left 175 people dead and 107 others missing since June 13. [Xinhua]
