Chinese actress Zhou Xun poses for an environmental protection-themed photo spread for "Cosmopolitan" magazine.
Best known for such films as "Perhaps Love" ("Ru Guo Ai", 2005), "The Equation of Love and Death" ("Li Mi De Cai Xiang", 2008) and "The Message" ("Feng Sheng", 2009), Zhou is among China's most popular entertainers.
Since 2008, she has been a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme, working specifically in promoting environmental sustainability. She was acknowledged in April this year, when she received the Champions of the Earth Award, the UN's highest honor for environmentalists.
