On May 14, Chen Guji (R), a villager in his 30s and a father of five, wraps the chest of his youngest son with ropes to make sure the little one is safe when climbing the mountain. It is a weekend when the children come back home. Chen Guji and two other villagers go down the mountain to pick up the children. It often takes a young, agile villager one hour to go down the mountain and one a half hours to climb up it. For visitors, it takes twice as much time. [Photo/The Beijing News] |
