Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra will be out for at least two weeks due to a leg injury.
A medical scan performed Monday revealed that the Mali international injured a muscle in his left leg during Madrid's 4-3victory over Malaga on Saturday.
The 27-year-old Diarra will miss Madrid's Copa del Rey match Wednesday against Real Union and Spanish league games against Valladolid and Recreativo Huelva. He is also questionable for a Champions League match at BATE Borisov and a league game against Getafe.
Madrid is already without striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, who is consulting with an American knee specialist over treatment for the same injury that had threatened his career eight years ago.
Madrid is also without Netherlands winger Arjen Robben and defender Miguel Torres to injury.
