Injury concerns for Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady and Ron Artest of the Houston Rockets proved unfounded Tuesday as all three were likely to play Wednesday against Dallas.
McGrady suffered an injury to his surgically repaired left knee in the third quarter of Houston's 100-89 victory Monday over Oklahoma City while Yao and Artest each suffered ankle sprains in the game and missed Tuesday's practice.
An MRI exam that had been planned on McGrady's knee was called off and McGrady told the Houston Chronicle that he was hopeful of playing Wednesday.
"Tomorrow is not ruled out," McGrady told the newspaper. "I have to talk to coach and the trainers, maybe even monitor my minutes more. I could play. We just have to come out with some sort of solution."
Chinese superstar center Yao missed the workout to have an x-ray after concerns over the same foot that was broken last season to end that campaign prematurely.
"I'm fine," Yao told the Chronicle. "The x-ray told me I have no problem. I feel much better this morning. You will continue to see me. That's good news."
