Wizards reinforce backcourt over three team trade
Adjust font size:

The Washington Wizards brought guards Mike James in from the New Orleans Hornets and also acquired Javaris Crittenton from the Memphis Grizzlies in a three-team deal on Wednesday.

Washington will let Antonio Daniels go to New Orleans as part of the deal and returns a conditional first-round draft pick to Memphis that was acquired by the Wizards last year.

James's most productive season was in 2005-06 when he averaged 20.3 points and 5.8 assists for the Toronto Raptors.

He is averaging 2.5 points in eight games this season for the Hornets.

The Wizards (4-15) have struggled in the backcourt with triple All-Star guard Gilbert Arenas out for the first few months of the season due to a knee injury.

Daniels, playing in his 12th NBA season and fourth in Washington, is averaging 5.1 points.
